Communications Report - February 2019

I’m so excited to be officially introducing myself to you! My name is Katie and this year I’ve officially taken over The Wilberforce Project’s communications and donor engagement!

I’ve been working for The Wilberforce Project for the last three years, first as their Admin Assistant and then as their Office Coordinator. So, I’m sure that at some point I’ve met or talked over the phone with many of you who are currently reading this 🤗

For me, January has been a month of planning and preparing goals and metrics for 2019 as well as chatting with some of our supporters to see what topics you guys are interested in hearing about. I want to intentionally include a plug here that I’d love to hear from you. If you ever have suggestions on what you want to hear more about, or if there’s a particular area of politics that you want to be better versed in, we want to be sharing and communicating the things that you want to hear and read. So always feel free to pick up the phone, shoot me an email, or simply comment on a post to let me know your thoughts!

Anyways, back to the topic at hand, for the first quarter you can expect a few different things from us. First off, we’re starting a blog section on our website and will be producing (at least) two new pieces per month for you. These will range from exciting victories you’ve accomplished, to some fun articles on politics, or new projects that are being launched.

Another one of my goals this quarter is to get to know our generous monthly donors and bring them more into the loop. If you contribute monthly to The Wilberforce Project you can expect to be receiving a fun email from me every month with some insider information on projects and be the first to know about new and cool opportunities we have for our supporters.

If you’re not currently a monthly donor but want to support the provincial, political, pro-life movement (notice the awesome alliteration) in this special way, you can start today by clicking here.

I just want to reiterate how excited I am to be serving the pro-life movement in this new position, I feel privileged to have the opportunity to be writing to you all on a regular basis and get to know you more!

To end off this 'report', here are some fun facts about me:

  • Metrics and data are one of my favourite things, and if you’re ever in our office you can usually hear me excitedly bubbling about some new data insight – insert plug to volunteer with us and join all the fun chaos at our office 🥳
  • I just started back at school this year in Marketing 🙌🏻, so if you’re also a marketing geek or you’ve seen some cool marketing campaign feel free to send it my way, I always appreciate a captivating and compelling marketing piece in my inbox!
  • I have a heart for justice and protection, not just for the pre-born but also for the women who have been affected by abortion. I desire to one day see women protected from the horrors of abortion, and this desire is what drives my work every single day.
