Volunteer Report - February 2019

It's such a privilege to introduce myself to all of our members and supporters. I initially started out with The Wilberforce Project as a volunteer myself and then doing some administrative tasks for just less than a year. And, at the beginning of January I took on the role of Director of Volunteer Engagement! I just feel extremely blessed and very excited to take on this new role and the work associated with it.

Since I took on this role so recently there’s not a lot to update everybody on. So far this past month, I've just started to talk to our previous volunteers to find out where their interests are, as well as getting a few new volunteers engaged. I love getting to know people and finding a place that fits for them, to put their passion into action to help the pre-born and to further the pro-life movement. It is a huge blessing to be a part of all of this and to see that there are people willing to go out and help out.

I’ve also been familiarizing myself with all the different volunteer roles that The Wilberforce Project offers, whether doing some type of office tasks or door knocking and going out and meeting other people and doing those types of activities. There’s also a huge need for doing phone calls and some people love doing that (one of our volunteers says it's her first love!) It is great to find out what people really like to do and get them plugged into the right role for them.

The fun part as well with the volunteer positions is that we have so many options! As well as the fact that it doesn't have to be a huge commitment. Whatever fits your schedule, whether it's an hour a month or it’s weekly. So, if you’re reading this, I’m totally putting a plug in here for you to contact me to come volunteer in some capacity! Please shoot me an email or sign up on our website! I’m looking forward to meeting some of you and working with you and finding you the best volunteer job or position!

Best,
