The Tuesday after American Thanksgiving is a day that is set aside for people around the globe to give to non-profits and charities that help make our world a better place.
I ask you to solemnly consider what is a better cause to give to than that which save innocent children from being torn limb from limb? Or which protects young girls from having a procedure that will change their lives forever?
I first learned about abortion when I was in Junior High. I sat with my back against a set of cold blue lockers as my friend sat on the floor beside me, asking me not to tell anyone about what she had just gone through. She bussed to the clinic herself and her older sister picked her up afterwards.
I sat there in the school hallway just looking at my hands because I had no idea what to say to her. Why should an 13 year old have to know what to say to someone who had just had her life changed and her baby torn apart? Even more importantly, how should any 13 year old be allowed to have an abortion?
