In Canada, there are many different worldviews. We believe that the state should not tell people what they can and cannot believe about right and wrong. There are standards of behavior that must be enforced, but there shouldn’t be a state sanctioned worldview that punishes divergent thought.
With this in mind, it is unspeakably horrible that Christian parents in Edmonton were discriminated against because of their worldview.
We believe that adoption is an important part of creating a society that values all human life, and that nonsensical barriers, such as a discriminatory worldview test, further decrease the respect for human life in our society.
We want the government to create policies which prevent this type of discrimination. Please sign our petition calling for the government to uphold religious freedom and the dignity of human life.
